1. Don’t apply your foundation when your moisturiser is not fully absorbed.
Although most of us probably already know this rule, we often neglect the importance of it. Apply moisturiser before anything else and use the time to do your hair, get dressed, brush your teeth, eat breakfast, anything other than applying your foundation.
2. Don’t wear your ponytail in the same position every time.
I know, I know you’ve found the perfect height for your pony, but the hair experts have noted that this is bad for your hair. Wearing it in the same position every time means your hair at that area will weaken. So switch it up between a high pony, medium pony and low pony.
3. Don’t over apply foundation.
Less is more ladies. Use a light layer of foundation on your face, you can then build up the coverage. Don’t go in with a lot of foundation straight away.
4. Don’t apply conditioner all over your hair.
Most people only need conditioner towards the mid lengths and ends of your hair, stop wasting all that product ladies. If you have particularly weak hair and must condition the roots, look for a very lightweight conditioner to avoid your hair becoming weighed down.
5. Don’t spray perfume after you get dressed.
This may seem like a good idea to make your clothes smell amazing but you risk staining your favourite dress. According to the experts, perfume is formulated to react to the heat of your body. Before you get dressed, give yourself a spray. You can spray into the air in front of you and walk into it for a more subtle all over scent.
6. Don’t wash your hair everyday.
I am still shocked by the amount of people who do this. You are washing out all those natural oils your hair desperately needs, stop doing it! Dry shampoo is your buddy. I use the batiste brand. Simply spray it into the roots of your hair, massage in with your fingers, leave for a few minutes and then brush it out. And just think of all that time that can be put to better use, like sleeping.
